6 mint leaves
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave nectar
1 cup ice cubes
Peel the grapefruit and make sure to remove the pith from the outside of the fruit. The pith is the white part that remains after you peel the grapefruit. There are health benefits to eating the pith but it may make the smoothie bitter. Be sure to remove all seeds as well. Add all of the ingredients to a high powered blender and blend until there are no longer any large chunks of ice. Enjoy!
